The University of Dubuque is a growing faith based University that is seeking a full-time *Assistant Football Coach- Defense*.

*Primary Responsibilities:*
· Assist with practice planning, execution and on-field instruction
· Help develop and implement game plans, reports, strategies and on-field duties as assigned
· Assist in all phases of the recruiting process, specifically the scouting and evaluation of skilled and academically qualified student-athletes
· Monitor academic progress and serve as a program liaison for staff and faculty
· Special projects and other duties as assigned by the Head Coach
· Serve as a monitor of various athletic facilities, or assist with event management, or assist with social media/event promotion in the Athletic department
· Ability to serve as defensive coordinator
· Perform other duties in support of the athletic department and the University’s M_ission_
*Requirements:*
· Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred
· Four years coaching experience at the intercollegiate level required
· Follow rules and guidelines of the university, the American Rivers Conference, the NCAA and the Mission of the University of Dubuque
· Ability to effectively lead, supervise, and manage others
· Good communication skills—verbal, written, and interpersonal
· Ability to work collaboratively with others, and to be an effective team member
The University of Dubuque is an NCAA Division III institution.
