The Head Start program of the Southwestern Wisconsin Community Action Program (SWCAP) is looking for a classroom substitute to support our Boscobel classroom.
This position may also be asked to substitute in our Muscoda or Fennimore classrooms.
This is a job for someone that appreciates the chance to pick-up work hours without being tied to a fixed, rigid schedule.
The starting pay rate for Head Start Classroom Substitutes is $14.
11 per hour, plus mileage expense reimbursement.
Benefits may be available depending on the number of hours worked.
When called, Classroom Substitutes work a 6 to 8 hour daytime shift.
Head Start Classroom Substitutes need:
· A high school diploma or equivalent.
· To be willing to let SWCAP run pre-employment background checks.
· An annual health exam – you’ll need a test for tuberculosis with a negative result prior to hire.
As a Head Start Classroom Substitute, you’ll work with our Head Start Classroom Leads to plan, implement and carry-out lesson plans and developmental activities.
You’ll learn about and be involved in activities that help kids develop their skills and learn safe, effective habits.
You’ll help kids learn to read, paint pictures with them, sing songs together, and, yes, wipe up some spilled milk from time to time.

SWCAP is an equal opportunity employer.
People of all backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
