PURPOSE AND PERFORMANCE GOALS: Accept all deliveries for the resort including food and beverage warehouse.
Document receipt of goods and distribute.
Prepare outbound shipments as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):
RECEIVING
Verify quantities of all incoming packages against delivery receipts/packing slips noting any discrepancies.
Visually inspect all packages for breakage or damage.
If damaged, or items missing fill out proper claim for credit forms.
If claims done, notify ordering department of such deficiencies.
Verify if delivery corresponds to an authorized purchase order.
Prepare daily receiving log.
Coordinate deliveries of merchandise for guests and groups with Convention Services using the Daily Traffic Report, or by contacting Convention Services
DELIVERY
Deliver any and all received items and merchandise to its proper destination in the resort.
Product may include, but is not limited to consumables, printed materials, amenities, housekeeping supplies, clothing and other resale items.
Distribute items from central stockroom such as office supplies, computer and copy paper, forms, etc.
Pull stock and deliver food and beverage requisition to each ordering department or facility.
Ordering and Inventory Control
Complete a walk-through inventory on a daily basis for supplies in central stockroom.
Prepare a request for purchase based on walk-through.
Notify Commissary Manager or appropriate Department Managers when printed material falls below par levels.
Assist in monthly inventories
Enter all monthly inventories in proper programs as instructed
Shipping
Complete documentation necessary to shipFED EX, or UPS packages
Weigh packages and calculate rates necessary for shipping.
Prepare bills of lading as needed.
Accounting
Compare packing slips to purchase orders to verify quantities received.
Prepare “goods received without invoice” as necessary.
Submit invoices/packing slips to accounting on a daily basis with receiving log.
Maintain guest package log and file.
Price out all requisitions for product going to other departments of facilities
Total all requisition, daily for processing
If needed, input all transfers in proper entry journals as deemed by Director of Finance
Miscellaneous Duties & Responsibilities
Assist courier duties of mail processing; pick-up and delivery of interdepartmental mail as needed
Sweep floors of stockroom and dispose of trash and cardboard as needed.
Ensure that stockroom is secured when unattended .
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED with 6 months of similar experience preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Must be able to communicate clearly with guests, customers, supervisor and fellow employees.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Must be able to calculate amounts and apply basic addition, subtraction division and multiplication.
REASONING ABILITY
Must be able to analyze routine data to make appropriate judgments regarding Purchasing processes.
Ability to use common sense to solve practical problems and handle last minute requests.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Valid driver’s license and good driving record
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Regularly stands, walks, sits, uses hands to finger, feel or handle, reaches with arms and hands.
Occasionally climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crawls, crouches, talks, hears, tastes or smells.
Frequently lifts up to 10 pounds.
Regularly lifts up to 50 pounds.
Occasionally lifts up to 100 pounds.
HOURS
Due to the business demands of the hospitality industry, and the fact that the Resort provides guest services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, any employee may be required to work rotating shifts, including weekends, night shifts, and/or overtime.
Also, depending on business demands, hours may be reduced at any time.
